The town has a population of about 5,600 people and is the nucleus of Byron Shire, which has in excess of 28,000 residents.in Byron bay it is famous for its luxurious accommodations i recently visited there. the food served is very good.

Planning a trip to Australia and your post about Byron Bay intrigues me very much. Seems like a destination that has a neat combination of fun, casual atmosphere, great food, whale watching, surfing and backpacking all in one. Had not considered going to Byron Bay but will do so now.
